It has been 69 days with NO MEAT!!
I have been here before with being on and off my vegetarian track hence why I have 2013 in the title so I won’t confuse with my previous posts. The difference this time around is that I am more focused which I can attribute to the baby talk. Secondly, aside from watching documentaries as I have in the past to keep me motivated I have also been doing a lot of research. Based on what I have been researching and trying, I plan to transition to veganism, adopt a raw or plant based diet. I will definitely be posting my decision in a few months along with trial and errors of recipes.
Eating from home was the easy part, well, not necessarily easy but less challenging. Eating out without planning ahead was my trap for failure. Luckily I was able to find apps that I have been able to use.
Happy Cow allows a person to find vegetarian, vegan, veg-friendly restaurants and heath food stores nearby. I installed the free version then decided to pay for the service. The paid service includes organic and raw food locations.
On the other hand, Vegan Eating Out contains a list of vegan items at many chain restaurants.
My first issue of the Vegetarian Times should be here by next week, so this will definitely provide me with recipe ideas. I’m really excited about this journey and how it will benefit my health. I hope you decide to make healthier choice options as well!
